Holdsworth’s first definitive, one-person exhibition in San Francisco since 1991 focuses on San Francisco but Oakland and Rovigno (in Croatia) are also represented. The unifying theme is global warming. The show looks backward at Venice’s beautiful vassal, Rovigno, on the Adriatic and forward into an apocalyptic future. The Global Warming Triptych imagines the ocean invading downtown San Francisco at New Montgomery and Market.
